Rose's Cardio Recovery

RUN 100

RUN 100 for the Hearts that Can't

On the 9th October I (Rose), had what's called a "Widow Maker" heart attack, which has roughly a 10% survival rate. For those of you that know me will understand that I rarely post on social media, especially about private matters but for this I am making an exception.

The two months since I have gone from not able to walk ten steps without a break post heart attack, to being able to walk 5km. So for that reason and to hold myself accountable I am doing 100km for the month of February.

Obviously this has completely changed my life and the lives of those close to me, and without the help of the Irish Heart Foundation I wouldn't have access to the help I've needed post cardiac event. If you can, share this post with everyone you can or donate to help me show my appreciation and keep me on track to 100km in February.

I want to thank my family and friends for being so supportive these last two months, especially my Mam Bernadette.
