RUN 100

Running for the Hearts that Can't

I am taking part in RUN 100 to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.

Day 12 ✅

Saturday 15th Feb
Legs are tired, but another 10.91km in the bank. Took a while longer than it should have, got caught in conversation once or twice and forgot to pause my time and resume it but here we are. Gonna eat nachos tonight. Putting the boy socks back on 🧦 56.68km / 100km

Day 11 ✅

Tuesday 11th Feb
Wanted to try and catch up with my schedule today and ended up walking 10.76km 💪 Tomorrow is leg day so who knows whether I'll be up for it, still progress. Also taped my shins this time which clearly worked wonders. 45.77km / 100km so far. Nearly halfway there now 🤟 In the meantime, I read that as of 2014, 1 in 10 Americans thought HTML was an STD. Discuss.

Day 10 💤

Tuesday 11th Feb
Another rest day, unscheduled because the freezer needed to be defrosted and my shins were being little knobs. Snippet from my sketchbook because why the hell not, a WIP if you will.

Day 9 ✅

Sunday 9th Feb
Tough one again, need to start taping my shins I think. Still, 2.84km in the bag, and I was ahead of my count yesterday anyway so I should be right around target now. Gotta go dotwork a drawing until my eyes cross ❤️🤟

Day 8 ✅

Saturday 8th Feb
Back to it today. Last day I walked only 2.68, so went a bit further to get back on track. 8.39km in the bank, that's 32.17km so far. Pretty cool stuff. Did you know fish can yawn? This is also pretty cool stuff.

Day 7 💤

Saturday 8th Feb
Another rest day, running errands, living monotonously, resting dem gammy shins. Tried to go and give blood for the first time but my veins were being stubborn and they couldn't catch it, so instead I just got jabbed a bit, that's wassup.

Day 6 💤

Thursday 6th Feb
Rest day today. Leg day yesterday so legs are a bit wobbly. Will get some errands done and then chill out in boy socks for the rest of the day 🧦 Did you know the Greek God Atlas had an aunt called Doris? G'wan Doris ya gud ting 💃

Day 5 ✅

Wednesday 5th Feb
Tough one. Shins felt a bit sore so I only did 2.68km. It was leg day though so prolly good I took it easy. I can't stop thinking about croissants. Should I try make some? Hm. 🤔 Anyway, according to "1,411 QI Facts To Knock You Sideways" (2014, Compiled by John Lloyd, John Mitchinson & James Harkin), head lice will die if they don't eat six times a day, much like myself :)

Day 4 ✅

Tuesday 4th Feb
5km, hungry, ate, pull day, arms and legs nice and sore. 20km down, 80km to go According to "1,411 QI Facts To Knock You Sideways" (2014, Compiled by John Lloyd, John Mitchinson & James Harkin), Male fruit flies given alcohol develop homosexual tendencies. Much like the male conservative Republicans that exist today :) :*

Day 3 ✅

Monday 3rd Feb
Day 3 done, another 5km in the bag, did you know wombats poop cubes? Aight peace out see ya tomorrow ❤️🤟

Day 2 ✅

Sunday 2nd Feb
Hi, day 2, 5km, now I'm hungry. Stay tuned for more insightful observations 💅

Day 1 ✅

Saturday 1st Feb
mornin stroll 🚶‍♀️ ello, completed 5km today, home to eat a sausage butty and mentally prepare myself for the month ahead 💪❤️ I have no idea how to blog so get ready for a month of nonsense.
