Walking, Running & Jogging for the Hearts that Can't

I am taking part in 60 in September to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.
We are here for every heartbeat.

Thank you for visiting my page and for your support.

HeaRunning for Dad — Taking on a Challenge for Heart Health in Irelandrt

Wednesday 16th Sep

Eight months after undergoing major heart surgery, my dad passed away.

Losing him changed everything. Navigating life without his presence, his wisdom, and his laughter has been the hardest thing my family and I have ever done. The time following his surgery was filled with hope, resilience, and every precious moment we could get together—which makes his loss feel even heavier.

Heart disease affects so many families across Ireland every day, often striking quietly and leaving behind a profound emptiness. I knew I couldn't just sit with my grief; I wanted to turn it into something meaningful.

That is why I am taking on this challenge.

Every mile, every training session, and every step of this journey is dedicated to my dad. It is an opportunity to honor his memory, to heal, and to make a tangible difference in the fight against cardiovascular disease.

Why Your Support Matters

I am raising funds to support heart health research, advocacy, and patient care right here in Ireland. By donating, you are helping to:

  • Fund Lifesaving Research: Developing better treatments, early detection methods, and surgical aftercare.
  • Support Irish Families: Providing guidance and care resources for patients recovering from major heart procedures and their loved ones.
  • Raise Awareness: Educating communities on early prevention and warning signs to save lives.

Taking on this challenge is an important step in my own healing, but I cannot do it alone. If you are in a position to support—whether through a donation, sharing this post, or sending words of encouragement—it would mean the absolute world to me and my family.

Thank you for helping me keep my dad’s memory alive.
