The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Salthill again. Cool, crisp day. 3deg C with no wind. 
Another beautiful day for it.

The days are so beautiful. Crisp , clear & cold. They are calling out for a dip. 
3degC in the car. 
Water temps are 7.8 degC but it feels colder , probably because of the air temp.

Hi All, couldn't resist the evening that was in it. 
Headed back to Iniscarra lake for a Double dip today. 
Magic, beautiful setting sun. 
That's the 12 complete. 
I did say 12 at a minimum,  so will go again. Pressure is off.

What a morning,  crisp & cold. Water temp is about 8 degrees C. 
Nearly there now.

Shortest day of the year. 
Managed to get a second dip in Galway bay. 
The most beautiful sunset to tap it all off. 
Shared this one with my 13yr old , it was lovely.

Lads, this was the toughest , but the most enjoyable. 
Winter solstice,  sunrise dip. 
Water temp was 6 deg C. 
Lower than average. 
A lady offered some warm sausages that she had in foil, nicest ever , yum & thanks

Managed to get to out to Salthill for Dip 8. 
The sea temperatures are around 10 but it felt a lot colder. 
Sun was setting over the bay, it was so nice. 
Back home to the fire.

With a crowd this time.  As part of our Company annual Charities week , a dip at Dock beach was on for today. 
A very well organised and safely run event. 
Hot chocolate was a lovely touch for after.

Sun was shining , although 7 deg air temperature. 
Average water temperature is about 10 degrees. 
Water was murky with all the storms we are having. 
Another beautiful one.

Back to Kinsale for this one. 4deg on the car and it felt it too in the sea. 
What a beautiful morning,  sun just starting to rise in the sky along with a fading half moon. 
Morning dips set you right for the day.

Sunday afternoon & another beautiful day for a dip. 
Water temp was 7.7 deg C. 
Water level was low but enough to dip safely. 
Was able to perch on the end of the slip and grab the selfie 🤳..
Off home to the fire and watch Willie Wonka

Fresh water is definitely a lot colder than salt. 
Another lovely evening,  sun setting in the West. 
10 deg air temp. 
The Cup of tea is well deserved after a dip in the lake.

Got down to Dock Bay in Kinsale today for after 4.  What a lovely evening for it. 4 degrees on the car temp,  full moon and sun setting in the sky. Tide was coming in fast,  water was cloudy with seaweed and sand. 
Very beautiful.

One to start off. Cold shower. 
My aim this morning was to dip at Inniscarra dam. Unfortunately the water level was to low to dip safely. 
Next time,  hopefully.
