Walking, Running & Jogging for the Hearts that Can't

I am taking part in 60 in September to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.
We are here for every heartbeat.

Thank you for visiting my page and for your support.

Day 4: 3.8km in the Wind 💨

Friday 4th Sep

Day 4 brought plenty of wind, but thankfully the rain held off! I pushed through the breeze and logged almost 4km today.

That puts me at ~15km total, officially past the 20% mark of the 60km target for the Irish Heart Foundation!

Even when the conditions aren't perfect, getting outdoors and moving always leaves you feeling better than when you started. On to Day 5! 💪❤️

Day 3: 5km Logged! ☀️👟

Thursday 3rd Sep
What a difference a day makes! I made the most of it by logging 5km for Day 3.

After pushing through yesterday's rain, having clear skies made every step feel effortless. That brings my total to 10km completed—one-sixth of the way to the 60km goal for the Irish Heart Foundation!

Building a healthy habit is all about riding the good days and pushing through the tough ones. Feeling energized and ready for the rest of the month! 🚀❤️

Day 2: 2km in the Rain 🌧️

Wednesday 2nd Sep
Day 2 threw some classic wet weather my way, and stepping out the door definitely took a bit of extra willpower today. But I laced up, embraced the rain, and logged 2km!

Some days are easy, and some days are about just showing up. Today was a reminder that consistency matters most—taking care of our health (and supporting a great cause like the Irish Heart Foundation) isn't just for sunny days.

That's 5km down, 55km to go. No matter the weather or the challenges, we keep moving forward! ☔💪

Day 1 Done: Off to a Great Start for the Irish Heart Foundation!

Tuesday 1st Sep
Day 1 of the 60km September Challenge is officially in the books, and I’m thrilled to kick things off on the right foot!

I got out today and logged my first 3km. It felt great to get moving, clear my head, and hit the ground running for such an important cause. Tackling 60km over the month is all about momentum, and starting strong on day one gives me a great foundation for the weeks ahead.

A huge thank you to everyone who has offered encouragement, shared the post, or donated so far. Knowing every step helps support the Irish Heart Foundation makes every kilometer worth it.
57km to go—let’s keep it moving! 🚶‍♂️❤️

Why I am Walking 60km This September

Monday 31st Aug
This September, I’m taking on a personal challenge: walking 60km over the course of the month to raise vital funds and awareness for the Irish Heart Foundation.
That works out to about 2km a day—a manageable goal on paper, but a meaningful commitment to consistency, health, and a cause that touches almost every family in Ireland.

Walking 60km means making movement an intentional part of every single day. Whether it’s morning walks before work, weekend trails, or evening laps around the local neighborhood, I’ll be tracking my progress throughout the month.
