Walk 100km with your Dog in June

Help Protect Hearts in Ireland

I am taking part in Walk 100km with your Dog in June Challenge to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.

Thank you for visiting my page and for your support.

Paws on the Path: Day 1 of Our 100 km Challenge

Monday 19th May
This morning, my dog and I kicked off day one of our “Walk 100 km with Your Dog in June” challenge with a wander through the woods. The air was fresh, the birds were in full song, and she was full of beans—sniffing every tree like it was the first one she’d ever seen.

We covered 4 km, taking it at our own pace with plenty of stops for sniffs, photos, and the occasional squirrel distraction. I’m aiming for 3–4 km most days so we can build a little buffer in case we miss a walk here or there (you never know with Irish weather!).

Why we’re doing this
We’re walking to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation—an organisation that means a lot to me. Heart disease and stroke affect so many people, and the support and research they provide makes a real difference. If our steps can help even a little, then it’s worth every muddy shoe and soggy dog.

Want to help?

You can sponsor a kilometre if you’d like—every bit counts.

Share our challenge to spread the word.

Got a good walking playlist? Send it our way—we’ll give it a test on the next trail.

I’ll be sharing updates along the way, and of course, there’ll be plenty of dog photos (she’s camera-ready at all times). Thanks for following along and cheering us on!

Catch you on the next trail,
Cynthia
