Heart disease is something that has affected my family personally, which is why supporting the Irish Heart Foundation means so much to me.

My dad lives with a heart condition, and sadly, we have also lost family members to heart disease. When something affects the people you love, you realise just how important your heart health really is — and how easily we can take it for granted.

That’s why I’m taking on this challenge to raise money for the Irish Heart Foundation. But for me, this isn’t just about reaching a fundraising target. I want to use this opportunity to encourage people to look after their hearts and, most importantly, get checked.

We can all be guilty of putting things off. We tell ourselves we're too busy, that we'll do it another day, or that something isn't serious enough to get checked. But sometimes getting checked could make all the difference.

Know your numbers. Know your heart. Listen to your body. And don't be afraid to get checked. 

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the incredible work of the Irish Heart Foundation and help make a difference to people and families affected by heart disease.
