RUN 100

Running for the Hearts that Can't

I am taking part in RUN 100 to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.

Thank you for visiting my page and for your support.

4Km today

Wednesday 19th Feb
Total brought up to 79.79.
I impofrted all the data into one app, so now I can track the final few KM in the one place

Another 7 km today

Monday 17th Feb
Was trying to get to 70km today, but couldn't go any more than 7km today so finished up at 68km so far.
That I can be too disappointed with the progress, 11 days left to complete 32km

Back on track

Sunday 16th Feb
After a 3 day hiatus due to injury I got 15Km done over the weekend to bring me back on track. 61km in and 39 to go

6.87k this evening

Tuesday 11th Feb
While the young one was at karate took the opportunity to get in another few k

5km in Moate is a lot harder than 5km in Lanzarote

Monday 10th Feb

Haven't used these posts since I discovered the activity page

Sunday 9th Feb
Now that I am back home from Lanzarote (funny story when I signed up for the challenge, I'd forgotten I had booked that holiday months ago. Talk about first world problems) I can share some of the pics from the runs there and also start using a spreadsheet to track my progress (I literally couldn't be a bigger nerd). I missed yesterday but that's why I planned to be ahead of schedule (3.6Km/day) so that I could make up distance if I did happen to have an off day.
So taking today's 7.87K run into the running total I am 2.3K ahead of schedule. Need to build up a few more days like today just to let on top of it.
Still, 1/3 of the way through the month and 1/3 of the distance covered, can't be too disappointed in that

Week 1 Day 4

Sunday 9th Feb

Week 1 Day 3

Sunday 9th Feb
The longest run of my holidays

Week 1 Day 1 run

Sunday 9th Feb
Only putting these up now that I am back home

5.8Km today, 16.75Km overall, 2.46Km ahead of schedule

Tuesday 4th Feb
Put a bit of an effort in today across 3 different runs. I knew I would have days where I would struggle and days where I wouldn't hit the target (3.57km/day) so when I can put in the effort to go further I will

1K yesterday, so 6K today to try get back on track

Monday 3rd Feb
So yesterday we spent time at a market and walked about 15km according to the watch so didn't count that. I managed 1.15km yesterday evening before calling it a day. This morning I did 6.04Km, which gets back on track with a total after 3 days of 10.95km

First 3.76 KM done

Saturday 1st Feb
I don't see where to actually log the KMs run on my fundraising page so if someone could give strep by strep instructions on how to do it, that would be great.
So many people have supported me in this endeavour and I want to make sure that they see that I am taking their support seriously

Thank you to my Sponsors
