Walking, Running & Jogging for the Hearts that Can't

I am taking part in 60 in September to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.
We are here for every heartbeat.

Thank you for visiting my page and for your support.

33km Down, Over Halfway! 🏃‍♂️

Sunday 13th Sep
Another 8km completed today, bringing me past the halfway point of the Irish Heart Foundation 60km challenge.
The running is definitely starting to feel more natural and habitual, and I'm noticing the legs becoming much better conditioned to the mileage. I'm going to take a few days away from running now and let the legs recover before the Knock 5K next weekend.
A massive thank you again to everyone who has sponsored and supported me so far, it really is appreciated.

Learning

Friday 4th Sep
Tuesday: went looking for a sub-25 5K and got humbled at 4.6K 😅 A bad run, but probably a lesson I needed.

Today: completely different. 5K done for the Breast Cancer Ireland Very Pink Run 🎀 Took it handy, enjoyed every bit of it, and remembered that running is actually supposed to be fun. Medal earned 🏅

Sunday: Craughwell 10K.

No heroics from the gun. Settle in, collect the kilometres, stay disciplined and then, if there’s something left after 8K…

empty the tank. 💪

Tuesday was a setback.
Friday was the reset.
Sunday we operate. 🫡

One Day Better

Tuesday 28th Jul

We often think change starts with a huge goal.
In reality, it starts with one decision.
One walk.
One run.
One healthier choice.
That's why I'm taking on 60 in September for the Irish Heart Foundation.
This challenge isn't about being the fastest or covering the most kilometres. It's about becoming one day better than yesterday while supporting a cause that touches so many families across Ireland.
Every kilometre is a reminder that looking after our hearts doesn't happen all at once. It happens one step at a time.
If you'd like to support my challenge, I'd really appreciate it.
Together, we can all be One Day Better. ❤️
