Walk 100km with your Dog in June

Help Protect Hearts in Ireland

I am taking part in Walk 100km with your Dog in June Challenge to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.

+2km this evening making 92km - We will finish in Tipperary

Tuesday 24th Jun
Luna and I did very little tonight - I was delayed at work. She forgives me. We decided to finish it all off in Tipperary - as its a long way to go ! Stay tuned for further details.

90 km in total now

Monday 23rd Jun
Only did 3km over the weekend so today Luna and I had to make up for it. We did a 3km walk to Iona road earlier today and just clocked in 4km around Ellenfield park this evening. Nice day for walking but Luna was glad of the water tap and bowl in the park. We are both a little tired now, but with a week to go we have 10km to complete and hopefully we can add a few more for luck.
Thanks Mary for the encouragement on the road today !

80km total done after 4 km today

Friday 20th Jun
Luna felt the heat this afternoon but she made it with a few little water stops along the way.

3km in the sun today - 76km to date now

Tuesday 17th Jun
Very warm out there this evening so Luna and I felt it. She wanted to quit early on but got on with it after some simple distracting was perfomed.

Bold dog lay down in mucky puddles

Sunday 15th Jun
She had to have a long bath after her walk today.

5km today in Santry Woods

Sunday 15th Jun
We had a little moral support today. Thanks to Gráinne and Eamon and their dogs for their company. Although

68km in total to date

Saturday 14th Jun
A wet day for walking today but Luna liked it. 3km more. It's wet but warm out there. Nice to have the park pretty much to ourselves today.

5km today

Friday 13th Jun
Hi folks,
after a rain check yesterday, I clocked up 5km today. Warm and humid but nice.
Thanks for the support and kind encouragement.

4 km this morning but the dog tried to run off home

Wednesday 11th Jun
Luna did her best to sneak off home on me again today at the end of round 1 and nearly got away only she is too loyal. She paced outside the park but near the motorway until I got her with the help of a kind man walking into the park. On the lead after that and maybe a new location needed. Anyway, alls well that ends well, got a fe more done in the sun.

4km today and a tired doggy cooling off

Tuesday 10th Jun
She felt the sunshine today. Distracted with a ball we found on the way so it kept her from trying to go home !

Another 4km done

Saturday 7th Jun
Luna wanted to give up 1/2 way through - she is not used to longer walks - we are both unfit and lazy!

The great escape

Friday 6th Jun
Luna tried to sneak home today but she persevered with the help of a little drink and a rest 1/2 way through. Logged 4 km.

Yesterdays walks

Friday 6th Jun
We did 3km yesterday around the local parks - mainly sniffing.
