I have always enjoyed a Christmas Day swim over the years, taking part and organising several over the years.

This feels like another great reason to push me to swim more often and generate donations for an amazing and worthy cause.

Looking forward to joining up with the Hearty Hunks for the swims even if a bit late.

I am sure I will get more than 12 in between now and Christmas!

Today was a quicker dip than most due to changeable weather and only Jay and I available to do it, we roped our partners in as honorable Hulks to help with recording.

Great to mark my twelfth on the Solstice.

Another brisk,, sunny morning yesterday.

A nice dip in at snave again with a couple of us, really getting used to it now.
Only 2 more to go.

Dip Nine

An interesting one today, the wet weather of the past couple days has definitely caused the water to drop a few degrees.
That combined withh a sudden deluge of sleety rain as we got out lead to one of the quicker dips.

The large flash of lightning as I drove off was a message of some sort too, I choose to take it a positive message from Thor

Dip Eight point Five

Wednesday 17th Dec

In again with some of the other Hearty Hulks this evening, at Snave again this time a little while after dusk. Still cold but body is adjusting.

Eight Dip

This mornings dip was nearly 12 degrees warmer than yesterday but somehow felt colder.
I did not really want to go in but after making myself it feels great.
A bit wet and overcast but another good swim.

Seventh Dip

Happened yesterday morning in -1 degrees, water was not as cold as had mist coming off it.
Was a lovely clear sunny morning which helped too.
Followed by a nice dip in The Water School's heated pool to warm up a bit.

Sixth Dip

Halfway through my twelve dips.
Today was somehow colder than the early morning one yesterday.
Still enjoying it and looking forward to the second half of them.

FIfth dip

Sunday 14th Dec

An early morning dark dip in the sea in Bantry alongside a few Bantry Inshore Search & Rescue Association members.

A new experience for certain, jumping in the sea in the dark, rainy early hours of the day.
It is getting easier to get in which is a postive.

Fourth Dip

Saturday 13th Dec

A great series of dips today for the fourth.

We had a local sauna on the pier so a very Scandinavian afternoon.

Third Dip

Friday 12th Dec

Today we celebrated Jay's 12th dip with all of in together.
Video uploaded soon on his or the Hearty Hunks page.
Managed to swim around a little bit today after the jump in.
By the end I'll be swimming to Whiddy.

Second dip

Thursday 11th Dec

Second dip completed this morning.
A wet morning, but definitely not as much of a shock getting in the water.
Jumped in this morning which was definitely easier.

Managed my first dip today, certainly felt like the first winter dip in the year.
Got up to and including the beard wet, so it counts.

Next dip will definitely be a jump, the slow walk was not the way to do it.
