In memory of Sandra.
Sunday 2nd Nov On the 18th of June we received the devastating news that Sandra had passed away in her sleep, the shock, sadness and disbelief was unbearable but the news we received from her autopsy was worse as her death and our pain was avoidable. She had been attending doctors for what she thought was fibromyalgia and menopause with symptoms such as heart palpitations, sweating and pains but turned out to be a deadly condition known as coronary artery disease. Sandra was 47, her life was cut short because the symptoms were brushed aside as menopause. Sandra’s 48 birthday occurs on the 13th of November and I have decided to raise awareness of this condition, which is too often diagonosed as menopause, if you feel something is not right please please push for more tests and more answers as women’s heart condition symptoms can be very different from men’s. So for Sandra I’m going to do the 12 dips of December to raise money in her memory and to hopefully avoid any other family suffering the pain grief and loss we are currently and will forever be going through.
