Walking for the Hearts that Can't

I am taking part in 10,000 steps a Day in September to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.

Final Steps: Wrapping Up My 10,000 Step Challenge

Tuesday 30th Sep

Today marks the final day of my 10,000 Step Challenge with Irish Heart, and what a journey it has been!

When I first set out on this challenge, I wasn’t sure if I’d manage to keep the momentum going every single day. There were mornings when the weather wasn’t exactly inviting, evenings when I felt tired, and plenty of moments when I thought, “Maybe I’ll skip today.” But step by step, day by day, the numbers added up. And with each walk, I felt stronger, healthier, and more determined.

The biggest lesson? Consistency matters. Ten thousand steps aren’t just about the number, it’s about showing up for yourself every day, even in small ways. My energy levels are higher, my sleep feels better, and I know my heart is thanking me for every stride.

Although the official challenge ends today, this doesn’t feel like the end at all. Instead, it feels like a new beginning, a commitment to keep moving, keep prioritising my health, and keep encouraging others to do the same.

So here’s to every step taken, every rainy walk powered through, and every small victory that added up to something much bigger. Thank you to Irish Heart for the motivation and encouragement along the way.

The challenge may be over, but the journey continues. Here’s  to every step taken in love, in memory of my dad and in hope. 💙👟

4 Days To Go!

Friday 26th Sep

There are just four days left in the Irish Heart Foundation’s 10,000 Step Challenge, and I’m feeling both proud and motivated.

Daily walks have boosted my energy, lifted my mood, and reminded me that small choices like taking the stairs, or stepping out in the evening really do add up. Some days were harder than others, but consistency has been the biggest win.

Now, with only a few days left, I’m determined to finish strong. But this challenge isn’t just about me, my dad and all my loved ones whom I lost due to heart conditions but it’s about raising funds for the Irish Heart Foundation, whose work supports heart and stroke research, education, and patient care.

Here’s to the final four days and many more steps ahead! ♥️

7 Days Left – Let’s Finish Strong!

Wednesday 24th Sep

I can’t believe it!  Just 7 days left in the Irish Heart Foundation’s 10,000 Steps a Day Challenge. What a journey it’s been so far! Some days the steps came easy, other days it took a little extra push, but every single one has been worth it.

For me, this challenge has been about more than numbers on a step counter. Every walk has been a reminder of how important it is to look after our hearts. The Irish Heart Foundation’s work inspires me,  supporting families, raising awareness, and helping us all live healthier lives. Being part of this challenge means I’m not just moving for myself, but also for a cause that matters.

If you’ve already been stepping, let’s keep cheering each other on. The finish line is in sight, and together, we can make this last week really count.

Here’s to strong hearts, healthier lives, and crossing that 10,000-step finish line with pride! ♥️

Day 20 🫶

Saturday 20th Sep

Today marks 20 days of showing up, step after step, for my heart and for the hearts of others. Every walk has been a reminder that the smallest actions, repeated daily, create lasting change. 10,000 steps may seem like just a number, but behind it lies stronger health, clearer mind, and a little more joy with every stride.

This journey is for more than fitness, it’s for love, for life, and for the gift of a healthier heart. To anyone walking alongside me, whether near or far, keep going. Your steps matter. Together, we’re moving towards stronger hearts and brighter tomorrows. ❤️👟

Day 16 💓

Tuesday 16th Sep

16 days, 193,000 steps, and countless moments to reflect. Walking every day hasn’t just been about the numbers—it’s been about slowing down, appreciating my health, and remembering why I’m doing this. ❤️

This birthday month, I’m walking for the Irish Heart Foundation, to support those who can’t and to honour the strength of families affected by heart disease and stroke.

Every step feels lighter knowing it’s helping to make a difference. 🌟

In Dad’s Memory: Beating for Every Heart

Monday 18th Aug
This year, before my birthday, I want to do something truly meaningful. My heart is truly in this because I know first-hand how devastating heart conditions can be for families.

So, I’m raising funds for the Irish Heart Foundation, to support their vital work in research, education, and prevention, and to give other families a fighting chance.

Every donation, no matter the size, please consider donating and sharing, together we can make a real difference. ♥️

Thank you and God Bless you all 🙌
