My story

My name is David I am 53, in 2019 I collapsed and found myself out in hospital, I spent over a week in cardiac unit where numerous scans and tests were done, I can only say care I received was exceptional and first class and more than what I expected, I spent my time at Waterford University Hospital where it's cardiac unit was striped down and broke up between hospitals in Dublin and Cork at the moment there is no 24 hour cardiac care services in Waterford only Monday to Friday 9 to 9 after this you either not have heart attack or you will be transferred to cork by ambulance, anyway thank you FG and FF your promises mean noting, anyway while I was in hospital I was diagnosed with a genetic heart defect called BAV which means my heart regurgitates blood as it's pumped trough it's valves one of my heart valves is defective, I've a device in my chest that enable cardiac diagnostics team monitor my heart 24 hours a day so I'd like to say any support that can be raised for heart Foundation is worthy and worth while and every penny raised goes into finding new treatments for people who urgently require heart treatments all over island of Ireland
