RUN 100 in February 2026

Why I'm running 100KM for Irish Hearts this February

At some point recently... under circumstances that are still being investigated... I agreed to run 100KM in February. In Ireland.. This decision didn't involve enough thought or warm weather...

February is cold, dark, wet and generally miserable. Much like running 100KM, so it felt fitting.

I'm doing this to raise money for the Irish Heart Foundation, because heart disease affects thousands of people across Ireland and almost everyone knows someone who's been impacted. The work the Irish Heart Foundation does, from research and education to supporting patients and families, genuinely saves lives and helps keep Irish hearts beating longer and stronger!

Running 100KM will be uncomfortable. There will be sore knees, bad decisions and moments where stopping feels like the right call. But that discomfort is temporary. The challenges faced by people living with heart disease are not.

February is Irish Heart Month which makes it the perfect time to do something difficult on purpose. I'm not an elite runner... I'm just someone with working legs and a tendency to say yes to things without thinking. If this run raises awareness, funds vital work, or simply convinces you to donate a few euro out of sympathy, then it's worth it!

If you can donate, thank you! Your supporting an incredible cause. If you can't, feel free to remind me that this is entirely my own fault.

Either way, Irish Hearts wins! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️
