Running for the Hearts that Can't

I am taking part in RUN 100 to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.

Thank you for visiting my page and for your support.

In memory of Alan Brown

Sunday 1st Feb

We are running to raise awareness of heart disease and to help prevent other families from experiencing the loss that changed ours forever.

Our Dad Alan Brown, passed away suddenly from a heart attack at just 41 years old. He was a teetotaller and non smoker, a devoted father, a respected business man, and loyal friend. He left behind five teenagers and his young wife Ann who expected many more years with him.

Heart disease doesn’t always look the way we expect. It doesn’t only affect the elderly, those with obvious risk factors, or people living unhealthy lifestyles. Sometimes it strikes without warning—stealing parents, partners, siblings, and friends far too soon.

That’s why we are running.

Every mile is about awareness. Every step is about education, early detection, and prevention. If sharing our story encourages even one person to get checked, to take symptoms seriously, or to start a conversation with a loved one, then this effort matters.

Funds raised will support initiatives focused on:

  • Heart disease awareness
  • Education and early screening
  • Research and prevention programs

We run in memory of our Dad.

We run for families like ours.

And we run in the hope that fewer children will grow up without a parent because of a silent, preventable condition.

Thank you for supporting this cause, for helping us turn loss into purpose, and for standing with us in the fight against heart disease.
