I am taking part in Walk 100km with your Dog in June Challenge to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Day 27 and 28

Sunday 29th Jun
Well, WE DID IT!!! With 3.5Kms yesterday and 4.5Kms today we added another 8Kms to bring out total up to a whopping 102Kms!! and nearly 100 Euros over our fundraising goal!
It has been great and I know that Daisy and I will keep up this pace since it has now become a habit that is easy to sustain! Thanks again to all our supporters and donators - WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!

Day 26

Saturday 28th Jun
We got in a 4.5Km walk again today bringing our total up to 94Kms and still 3 days to get in another 6! Yay Daisy!

Day 25!

Wednesday 25th Jun
We got in a lovely 5.5Km walk today well before the rains came. That gets us up to 89.5Kms total. So glad we got involved with this challenge.

Day 24

Wednesday 25th Jun
We got in a 3.5Km walk again today. Bringing our total up to 84. Nearly there! 

Day 23 and we have Topped our Goal

Monday 23rd Jun
Day 23 and we got another 4.5Kms in before the showers hit. AND, we are now well over our target of 250 Euros in fundraising!!! Thanks again to all who have donated! We really appreciate it!

Day 22

Monday 23rd Jun
Daisy and I got in a 5.5Km walk today. Bringing our total up to 76Kms so we are more than 3/4 of the way there!

We managed to get in a 4.5Km walk before the rain came.

Day 18 and 19

Thursday 19th Jun
It has been quite warm the last two evenings, so we went out a couple hours later and did not walk quite as far. But we still managed to do 3.5Kms X2. So we add another 7 Kms to our total. That puts us at a whopping 66Kms to date!

Day 17

Tuesday 17th Jun
The 4.5 K route seems to have become our new favourite and standard walk!  Love it!  Now up to 59Kms total. Fantastic weather today as well!

Day 16

Tuesday 17th Jun
We were able to get in a 4.5K walk today! No photos today as I left my phone at home again. LOL

We made it to Half our Goal!

Sunday 15th Jun
We did it! Daisy and I are half way there on the 15th of the month! YAY! 5.5Km today. So happy with our progress and grateful for all the donations!

Day 14

Sunday 15th Jun
Daisy and I are resting up after another 4.5Km walk this afternoon. Bringing our total up to 44.5Km. Maybe tomorrow we will do 5.5 and hit the half-way mark? That would be great given tomorrow is the 15th! Looking forward to continuing this pace even after the end of the month.

Day 12 and 40Km in!

Thursday 12th Jun
Daisy and I forgot to bring the phone, so no photo today, but we did another 4.5Km walk. We came home to a new bloom on the Dahlia tonight. That brings our total up to 40Km to date! We have been so lucky with the weather all this time too. Skating through our walks without getting rained on, for the most part! LOL!

Day 11

We racked up another 4.5 K today! Over 1/3rd of our distance completed! YAY!

Day 10

Wednesday 11th Jun
We managed to get in a 4.5Km walk today. It was a lovely dry evening. 31Km into my 100K goal. Looking forward to more great walks with my girl!

Day 9 walk

Monday 9th Jun
Despite a fine drizzle the entire evening, Daisy and I got a 6Km walk in this evening. That gets us up to 26.5Km total. Here's hoping the rain backs off and we can keep up the momentum!

Day 7 walk

Saturday 7th Jun
I am so grateful to those who have donated already!! Daisy and I did another 4.5K today. That gets our total up to 20.5K for our first week. Our daily walk route is 3.5K, so we are really enjoying finding some new routes to up the distance.

Day 5 in the Rain!

Saturday 7th Jun
Daisy really doesn't like to walk in the rain so I waited until it stopped, but we got soaked anyway.  She wasn't too bothered  at first so I only managed to get in 2.5K. A total of 16K in the first 6 days is not so bad.

Day 3

Tuesday 3rd Jun
A 5Km Walk this evening with Daisy and she got her bandana so she will be wearing it for all our walks. That makes 13.5 in the bank now.

Day 2 4.5K

Earlier today (before the rain) Daisy and I did a 4.5K walk. 8.5K in the bank!
