Why I’m Taking On 12 Dips in December for the Irish Heart Foundation

This December, I’ll be running head-first into freezing cold water—not just once, but 12 times. Yes, it’s brutally cold, and yes, I’ll probably question my life choices more than once—but I’m doing it for a cause that genuinely matters: the Irish Heart Foundation.

Heart disease and stroke affect families all across Ireland, and the work the Irish Heart Foundation does—through research, education, support services, and advocacy—helps save lives every single day. Their mission is close to my own heart, and taking on this chilly challenge feels like a meaningful way to give back.

Every dip is a reminder of the strength and resilience so many people need when facing heart-related illness. If they can endure that battle, the least I can do is embrace a few minutes of icy water to help support them.
