Sunday 8th Jun

Sunday 8th Jun
We wanted to extend our usual Bushy Park walk so added a portion of the greenway through Dodder Valley Park as far as Templeogue to give us a healthy 4.1km

Saturday 7th June - another 2.2km added

Saturday 7th Jun
Another shorter walk today because of other commitments, but it was a beautiful 2.2km along the river Dodder through Orwell up to Dartry and the Dropping Well. And every little counts. A longer one tomorrow, we promise

6th June - those darned bin lorries

Friday 6th Jun
We only got a swift 2km done this morning as poor Sammy was terrified of all the noisy bin lorries doing the rounds and we didn't have the time to get to a forest - we'll pick up the pace over the weekend and catch up.

the second half of today's walk

Wednesday 4th Jun

June 4th - a walk in 2 halves

Wednesday 4th Jun
We took Sammy along the Dodder this morning, but half way through I had to take a call, so had to divide the Map My Walk into two halves - we did a total of 3.56km between the two.

Day 3 - 3.37km Massy's Wood

Tuesday 3rd Jun
It was just me and Sammy today for a drizzly but lovely walk through Massy's Wood in Rathfarnham - muddy but glorious and another 3.37km added to our June total.

Day 2 - a Bank Holiday Monday delight

Monday 2nd Jun
Today was a sunny bank holiday Monday, so we couldn't resist the temptation of going further afield, to beautiful Howth Head, where we covered 3.2km back and forth despite the busy crowds - we'll come back at a quieter time so Sammy can get the full benefit of all those lovely views.

June 1st - getting under way proper

Sunday 1st Jun
Hi all

Delighted to greet the start of June with a sunny with occasional drizzle walk along our favourite Dodder Park walk as far as Dartry from Rathfarnham. We walked 3.7km today, which on top of the 20.6km we walked in May (we got a head start) brings our running total to 24.3km of the 100k challenge - so we're doing really well. We hope you can support us as we walk to raise money for the Irish Heart Foundation

Day 4 - I managed to pause the walk by mistake so only showing 2.2km though we know we did 3k!

Thursday 22nd May
Never try to take a photo when map my walk is doing its stuff, because you might accidentally pause the tracker and continue walking oblivious to that ... so the 3km we know we did in the Dodder today is only showing as 2.2km, honestly. But a sunny day on one of our favourite walks

Day 3 - Peter and Sammy at Cruagh 1.6km

Wednesday 21st May
Today's walk was a short but lovely walk up and down Cruagh Wood - Sammy loves it up there.

Day 1 - Massy's Wood 4.2km

Monday 19th May
As exam marking is looming, Sammy, Peter and I are getting a head start on our walk 100km for the Irish Heart Foundation during the month of June. We kicked off day 1 in one of our favourite places - Massy's Wood in Rathfarnham, where a looped walk up past the wedge tomb, along the gorge and above the walled garden was a delight. We'd love if you might support us along the way as we raise money for the

Looking forward to starting

Thursday 8th May
