Reasons for Walking
Friday 22nd Aug My beautiful daughter Jenny (4months) and I are going to attempt the 10k steps a day challenge in honour of Jenny's Grandpa who was diagnosed with heart failure in 2023. Thanks to excellent medical care Grandpa is still around and fighting fit, but so many are not so lucky. Every hour someone in Ireland suffers a stroke and each day hundreds are diagnosed with heart disease. The Irish Heart Foundation is an excellent charity and support for patients and their families during those difficult times. We're proud to be taking part in the challenge to raise money to support this excellent charity and will be walking 10k steps a day each day in September to raise vital funds.
