The plan!

Sunday 30th Nov
Myself and Shane are back, this time doing the 12 dips of December for the Irish Heart Foundation! This charity support amazing research into heart conditions and disease. On our island, an average of 9,000 people pass away annually as a result of heart disease or stroke. This figure is immense, most of us have been effected by the loss of loved ones in this way. The IHF have a vision to eliminate death and disability caused by heart conditions, and we could not imagine a better charity to support this winter. 
Of course, December is a crazy time and not many of us have money to spare. If it's possible, please donate to our fundraising page! But alternatively, we are accepting warm words of encouragement (please tell us we are big and brave). Warmth is what we will need :)
In the past, Shane has raised over €1000 for the Irish cancer society, by trusting me to buzz his lovely hair (if you remember this man with hair, I'm sorry to say, you are very old now.. ). We've also partaken in the polar plunge for Special Olympics Ireland, raising €500. These donations are the best Christmas gift you can give, and it's beautiful to see the support. 
If anyone wants to join us for a swim down in Dún Laoghaire any day, you're very welcome to join us (post swim hot choccy will be mandatory). GRMMMA, go raibh míle míle maith agaibh a chairde! Happy December!
