Friday 2nd Jan DIP #12 Silver Strand, Co. Galway. 4c air temp and a cool 3c in the Galway Bay, sporting the Wain costume from 12 nights series I made in covid. This was filmed with the sun setting and many people playing on the beach and thankyou to my cameramen Sharon, Sarah and Alex for supporting me on this journey. The elf was fast asleep for this one but also present but she had fun at the beach anyway. Hope you have found this adventure amusing and hope 2026 brings you all some joy. Friday 2nd Jan DIP #11 Blackrock, Salthill, Co. Galway. 5c air temp (supposedly), water temp at 2c (again very cold) todays theme was ring master and my little elf wanted to jump in with me so sorry for lack of outro. Saturday 27th Dec DIP # 9 Secret location close to Co. Galway. (Lough Errit) 4c air temp, ice cold water at 1c. Christmas Day Dip also in support of Pieta House, was a somber but festive occasion. The Glam Rock costume was one cobbled together from old costumes but made the swim difficult as the trousers were trying to escape. Saturday 27th Dec DIP #8 Ballyloughane, Co. Galway. 9c air temp (supposedly), sea temp 3c (again very cold) todays theme was ugly jumper and the hat moved at one point but was still in the wind. Saturday 27th Dec DIP #7 Salthill Prom, Jungle cafe adjacent beach Co. Galway 7c air temp, cool water at 3c. Todays theme was Farmer, part of the costume from my agri series. Wednesday 17th Dec DIP #6 Secret location close to Co. Galway. (Mayo For Sam!) 7c air temp, ice cold water at 2c. Todays theme was Gilly McLaughlan an AFL host, kind of an inside joke (excuse my terrible Aussie / Cockney accent). The Lough gets fairly deep quickly so I hope you enjoy the little swim, I promise i do them in half of these dips and was frozen afterwards. Wednesday 17th Dec DIP #5 Blackrock, Salthill, Co. Galway. 11c air temp (supposedly), rough waters at 4c (again very cold) todays theme was ugly pyjamas and my little elf wanted cheered me on the entire time. The point I entered the Lough was incredibly deep so i had to use the swim bouy, had a quick paddle but was cold to the core.
