Cian O Rourke remembrance❤️
Hello everyone, I’ve started this fundraiser in memory of my good friend Cian O’Rourke, who sadly passed away 2 years ago. We want to honour his life and support a good cause in his name. Cian had problems with his heart, and through this challenge, we hope to remember him, celebrate who he was, and raise awareness and funds for a good cause
Cian’s parents Aidan and Sharron will be participating in this challenge, along with his sister Aobha, and we are incredibly grateful to them for allowing this fundraiser to go ahead in Cian’s memory. Many of Cian’s friends will also be taking part, showing just how many lives he touched.
Myself (Ernest) and my friend Ryan O’Neil will also be taking part in this challenge and will attempt to run 100 miles during the month of February. Anyone who wants to join in is more than welcome. You don’t have to do the full 100 miles; you could do 100k, 50k, or 10k, or whatever works for you. The more people involved, the better. This challenge isn’t about us, it’s about Cian, the people who loved him, and everyone coming together for something meaningful.
Throughout the month of February, we’ll be getting involved in walks and runs together, and anyone who would like to join is more than welcome. Every step counts. Cian might not have been much of a runner himself. He was more into the gym where he put all of us to shame. Most of us participating aren’t runners either. But we’ll give it a go, and we’re sure he’ll be having a good laugh wherever he’s watching us try.
This is about remembering Cian for who he was. Supporting a worthy cause, and coming together as friends, family.
