Walking for the Hearts that Can't

I am taking part in 10,000 steps a Day in September to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

Your donation will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke.

Day 27

Saturday 27th Sep
Steps challenge achieved but I’ll carry on for the next few days - in work today and tomorrow so numbers may be down but thank you to all who supported and encouraged me

Day 26

Friday 26th Sep
A super steps day, being in and out of town and in work- helped get the steps covered

Day 25

Friday 26th Sep
A good day and the weather held up

Day24

Wednesday 24th Sep
Most of the steps done in work today, spent the evening at work so feeling it for sure tonight but it’s great to be active and able

Day23

Tuesday 23rd Sep
A busy day with loads of walking. A lot more than I gave thought to. Definitely helps with the steps but also a great day for mental health

Day 22

Monday 22nd Sep
A mixed day between work and meetings late in town, it was hard to get extra steps late at night. Thankfully daytime steps added up

Day21

Sunday 21st Sep
Weather played its part today thankfully but you notice a change in the air for sure. Lovely walk for sure

Day20

Saturday 20th Sep
A day is mixed walking- in between the weather being good and bad but avoided the rain. And such amazing views on the walk today

Day19

Friday 19th Sep
More back to normal, did some extra steps to make up for yesterday to balance it all out

Day18

Friday 19th Sep
A more difficult day feeling slight unwell but having to go to work to get as many steps as possible.

Day 17

Wednesday 17th Sep
A day of unwellness unfortunately and I simply wasn’t able to get out and get more done. I’ll make up for it tomorrow for sure

Day16

Wednesday 17th Sep
Did my steps outside Dublin and it was nice for a change. Steps were gathered during the day and at a masters degree meet up

Day15

Tuesday 16th Sep
At the half way mark and despite the weather definitely turning and autumn really closing in, it’s a wonderful experience- easily better walking with friends

Day 13&14

Monday 15th Sep
Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of my steps on Saturday 13th- due to work commitments running over it plain slipped my mind. Sunday was a bit more of a chill day and was easier to get caught up a bit.

Normal service shall resume this week but it’s awesome that we are at the half way mark and bang on time too.

Day 12

Friday 12th Sep
A surprising day, with work and a work function but happily the steps were chipped off.

Day 11

Thursday 11th Sep
Definitely a more taxing day with a lot more stress and strain. Had to borrow a different watch as I forgot to charge my own watch overnight - so thanks mum for that!! Enjoyable walk, very much needed to clear the head.

Day10

Wednesday 10th Sep
An enjoyable day walking with a friend. 14178 and time flew- weather held out well this evening

Day9

Tuesday 9th Sep
A difficult day, between rain and mood, it was harder today to get the steps in. That and I forgot to charge my watch and it died just as I got home. Avoided the rain - just about :)

Day8

Monday 8th Sep
On a day where work and family commitments made it hard to get extra steps in, a slightly later walk was actually nice and calming

Day 7

Sunday 7th Sep
Steps are getting easier and with a chilled day it was easier to get them earlier before heading to meet friends and family

Day 6

Sunday 7th Sep
A busy day between work, family and working at an event tonight. Made the steps whilst at the venue and missed the photo by Litterly a few seconds after midnight  but I’ll get steps earlier tomorrow

Day 5 -15621 steps

Friday 5th Sep
Another day done, lots of steps done, weather was great.

Day4

Friday 5th Sep

Day 3-10,269 steps

Friday 5th Sep
Another day in the bag? Got the steps done earlier than expected in between showers and sunny spells

Day 2 done and dusted

Tuesday 2nd Sep
On a day where I wasn’t feeling well, a freer 10,099 steps were achieved. Thanks to all those who have helped in this journey so far

T-shirt arrived
